We Don’t Define God. He Reveals Himself.

If you want to know what someone is like, you don’t guess—you listen to what they say about themselves.

That’s what the Bible is: God speaking. Not man’s opinions. Not religious speculation.

From Genesis to Revelation, God tells us who He is, what He values, and how He relates to us.

The very first verse of the Bible says:

In the beginning God created the heavens and the earth. - Genesis 1:1

The Bible Reveals God Through His Actions, Names, and Words

Through His Name

Each name emphasizes a unique attribute of His character

Elohim - The Creator God (Genesis 1:1)

El Shadddai - God Almighty (Genesis 17:1)

Yahweh - The “I AM” (Exodus 3:14)

Adonai - Master, Lord (Psalms 8:1)

Jehovah Jireh - The Lord Will Provide (Genesis 22:14)

Through His Attributes

These attributes are not just descriptions. They are who God is, always and forever.

Holy (Isaiah 6:3)

Loving (1 John 4:8)

Just (Deuteronomy 32:4)

Sovereign (Psalms 115:3)

Immutable (Malachai 3:6)

Omniscient (Hebrews 4:13)

Through His Word

The Bible is not a myth. It is the revealed mind of God, written through human authors under divine inspiration.

It is the only book that can claim divine authorship and verify it through prophecy, history, consistency, and spiritual power.

All Scripture is inspired by God and beneficial for teaching, for rebuke, for correction, for training in righteousness; - 2 Timothy 3:16

You Don’t Need to Guess or Feel Your Way to God

We live in a time where people say things like:

  • “My truth about God is…”

  • “I just feel like God would…”

  • “To me, God is more of a force…”

None of that matters.

If the Bible is true, then God is not whoever you want Him to be.

He is who He says He is—and that is incredibly good news.

Because He is:

  • Knowable (Jeremiah 9:24)

  • Personal (Psalm 139:1–4)

  • True (John 17:17)

  • The Bible doesn’t give you a god you can reshape. It gives you the God who shaped you.
